ITV Coronation Street’s Paddy Bever tells co-star ‘love you’ as she’s flooded with gushing birthday tributes

Coronation Street star Millie Gibson wasn’t short of love as she was flooded with gushing tributes on her birthday. The actress, who has played Kelly Neelan on the cobbles since 2019, celebrated turning 18 over the weekend.

The big milestone comes just a couple of weeks after the soap star bagged her first big awards. Millie took home the gong for best young performer at this year’s British Soap Awards at a star-studded ceremony earlier this month.

But away from work, Millie was letting her hair down as she ‘finally’ turned 18. Taking to Instagram, the teen shared a glimpse into her celebrations, which included appearances from a few of her Corrie co-stars.

The birthday girl herself looked stunning in a maxi red gown with a plunging neckline and ruffled detailing all the way down. She paired the look with a matching pair of heels and added a red lip to complete the daring look. She was seen posing next to a gold and nude balloon display. Millie sat in a chair and kicked her legs up in the air as she gazed at a big balloon that had been emblazoned with ‘Happy 18th Millie’.

Millie’s on-screen guardian Mikey North, who plays Gary Windass, and former on-screen foster parent Charlie De Melo, who recently exited the soap in dramatic fashion as Imran Habeeb made sure to get in a photo with the birthday girl, smiling for the camera either side of their young co-star.

Craig Tinker actor Colson Smith, Paddy Bever, who plays Max Turner in Corrie, and soap icon Jimmi Harkishin, aka Dev Alahan, also made an appearance to help Millie celebrate her big birthday.

And Paddy looked like they wouldn’t have missed it for the world. He took it to Instagram with a photo of the pair, however, only the top of Millie’s head could be seen as she suddenly got camera shy or got the giggles and put her head in her hand. “Celebrating eighteen whole years of @milliegibbo,” the 19-year-old captioned the snap.

“At least my roots look good,” Millie joked as fans were soon commenting on the post. @ davidsshepherds said: “CUTIES.” @cherrymcverry16 wrote: “Two stars.”

Paddy also shared another tribute to his co-star and friend, sharing a series of pictures of them together on his Instagram Story. They showed the pair pouting for the camera while one showed them sharing a laugh at Millie’s birthday bash over the weekend. “Happy birthday yung1,” he said.

“Finally an adult. I love you to bits,” Paddy added before commenting on ‘love you’ on Millie’s own birthday post. And all the love didn’t stop there as another of Millie’s soap besties had a sweet message to share. Tanisha Gorey, who plays Asha Alahan in the ITV soap, shared various pictures of the pair together.

Alongside the first, which showed them dazzling in opposite black and white gowns for the recent awards doo, Tanisha wrote: “Happy 18th birthday to my baby girl @milliegibbo.” She then went on: “You really do have my heart and I’m ever so proud of you … my little love always.”

She then ended her sweet string of posts: “You make every day better and I love you so much, have the best day and I hope you get spoiled.”

And there was even a reunion for Millie who got to see her on-screen mum at her birthday party. Kel Allen, who played Laura Neelan up until her heartbreaking exit earlier this year, shared pictures of the pair at the do as well as some more of her reuniting with her former co-stars.

“Babba’s all grown up,” the former soap star started her post alongside the images which included picture with Charlie as well as Stu Carpenter actor Bill Fellows. “Happy 18th birthday to the one & only @milliegibbo. The love I have for the most beautiful human, with the most beautiful soul, is endless.”

She ended her message: “Baby girl, the world is yours. Love youuuuu Mills, Mamma.” Millie was quick to reply, writing: “I love you with my whole heart my mom forever and always.”
